Penutup for first period of hospital attachment

Alkisah tersebutlah gerangan pelajar tahun 3 farmasi yg perlu melakukan hospital attachment sebagai required activity dalam subjek PHM 3223 Clinical Pharmacy 1.

Disebabkan esok berkemungkinan besar giliranku untuk membentangkan salah satu dari case tersebut (drpd 3 hari attachment) maka sukala untuk tanganku ini untuk menaipnya dulu.

Orang kata freewriting...
Bole jadi gak brainstorming....

Apepun tak kisah la...
Yg penting aku dapat meluahkan isi hati yg meronta2 untuk dilepaskan...
Memang sudah menjadi kebiasaanku...
Sebelum presentation mesti kena ada rehearsal bertulis...
Agar waktu kejadian, tak perlu tergagap untuk menyusun ayat...
Sebab sudah melalui akan proses penyusunan ayat terbabit...

Secara asasnya, ada 3 kali attachment yg telah dibuat; 1 di Hospital Temerloh dan 2 di HTAA Kuantan...Seminggu sekali; iaitu hari khamis...

Attachment pertama:

Berkaitan drug effect on lab test investigation.
Agak kekok kerana pertama kali attachment.
Kes pesakit berkenaan anemia.
Lab result yg kurang memuaskan.
Tak mungkin bawa untuk presentation nanti.

Attachment kedua:

Berkenaan Communication Skills and Patient Interview.
Alhamdulillah, salah satu attachment yg memuaskan hati.
Kes Unstable Angina (Central Chest Pain)
InsyaAllah present benda ni la nanti (elaboration after this).

Attachment ketiga:

Drug therapy and disease state.
Patient yg peramah.
Kes Acute Pulmonary Oedema, Acute Coronary Syndrome dan Hypertension.
Polypharmacy yg sangat pening.
Report pun tak siap lagi ni.
Memang tak dapat la nak present tajuk ni.

So, I would like to explain more about my attachment on Communication Skills and Patient Interview to all of you.
Initially, Mdm Halimah, our lecturer, has assigned one partner for each of us.
Therefore, I was doing clerking the patient in pair.
Firstly, what we have done to approach the targeted patient was survey it first.
We choose the available patient who can give cooperation as well as not bothering the doctor doing usual ward round.
Initially, it is hard for us to find one since many staffs were doing their daily activity.
Then, we stay outside for a while to give space for doctor and pharmacy doing their jobs.
By the time we rest at the verandah of the ward, there was a old lady sit outside.
Then, my partner who is the same gender as she was greet her indicating respect.
From what my partner has told me, she is waiting for his husband who was admitted to the ward just early in the morning.
Thus, I said "What about him?"
"Is it OK to be the target one?"
Then, after discussing with the old lady, we ask her permission about clerking his husband.
She said OK, but we have to wait the doctor to finish taking medical history of his husband.
While waiting, we just clerk the old lady about her husband condition.
From what we have asked, which is like a normal chatting, we have got a lot of useful information regarding the patient.
Then, we also try to talk with his husband but he seem to feel difficulty in answering our questions since shortness of breath he still suffer.
Therefore, we continue to clerk his wife regarding his compliance since a wife is also a man's best friend.
She should know in advance regarding his husband from A to Z.
Alhamdulillah, finally, we got cooperation with his wife and our task is accomplished.
